About the session
In this interactive session, we will discuss how service design can contribute to business models that promote more responsible consumption. We will illustrate the limitations of product-based ecodesign in a world of spiralling consumption. Can combining product and services reduce the environmental footprint of businesses who predominantly sell 'stuff'? We will propose ways in which traditional service design approaches can be developed to identify where consumer desires are in conflict with planetary needs and design solutions that are not only benign, but positive for the environment.
