This is an experiential and participative introductory workshop, so be prepared to be involved and engaged!
Starting with the premise that inequalities have been designed and learnt, Fearless Futures believes by definition, that they can be re-designed and un-learnt.
Human-centred design is a powerful method and practice for solving problems. Our work builds on its foundations and enriches it by acknowledgement of power and privilege asymmetries through the design process.
This workshop will focus on the relationship between designer and user, asking the questions, what's privilege got to do with it? How might this inform what stories we hear? The insights we deem valid? The problem we think we're solving? And what might we do about this? And so much more!
About Fearless Futures:
Fearless Futures engages people in critical thought to understand and challenge the root causes of inequalities, and to grow powerful new ways of leading transformative change. Part of this mission includes un-designing inequality through enriching human-centred design with critical approaches to power, privilege and inequities.
